Weekly Objectives

 

 

Language Arts

  • Students will begin reading finish reading Because of Winn Dixie.

  • Students will begin coming up with questions for the second unit of study.

  • Students will begin to revise their reviews.

  • Students will prepare to present their proposals for improving Elder Creek's school climate.

  • Students will learn new procedures for literature circles and current events.

 

Math

  • Students will review writing percents as decimals and fractions.

  • Students will review fractions as decimals and percents.

  • Students will calculate the percent of quantity.

  • Students will calculate whole from percent.

Announcements and Reminders

 

 

  • Tutoring: I am available every day for tutoring during lunch. Your child is more than welcome to bring his/her lunch and get help from either me or another classmate for math and/or language arts.

  • Current Events/Book Talks:Students will be learning how to prepare a book talk and current event share this week. Each day, students will be sharing current school appropriate news and talks about books recently read.

  • Middle School Visit Dates: I recently sent home a listing of visitation dates for middle schools in our district. In addition, we are planning on having middle school representatives at our school to support our students in giving information for their upcoming school year.
